Bachelor of Visual Art - Sculpture
The BVA in Sculpture is a four-year undergraduate programme offering foundational to advanced training in 3-D practices. The course blends practical and theoretical approaches, focusing on materials like clay, metal, wood, stone and contemporary mediums and discourses of sculpture. Students engage in life study, composition, carving, and installation, supported by academic studies in art history, aesthetics, and contemporary practices.
The program spans four years and includes theory papers on Indian and Western Art History and Aesthetics. Practical training covers life study, clay modeling, composition, terracotta, metal, wood, and stone sculpture. Contemporary practices such as installation and performance are also introduced.
