Bachelor of Performing Arts - Sitar (Indian Classical )
This four-year program equips students with deep theoretical and practical knowledge of sitar. It emphasizes Raga-Tala systems, advanced performance techniques, music theory, notation, improvisation, and cultural context. Students will perform, transcribe, analyze, and present sitar music with professionalism and artistry.
This course is designed to provide comprehensive training in Hindustani classical instrumental music, with a focus on the sitar, one of the most expressive and iconic instruments in Indian music, combining rigorous practical training with theory, covering swar, laya, raag, taal, and performance. Students progress from basic ragas to advanced solo recitals, fostering skill, creativity, and cultural depth.
