Bachelor of Visual Art - Painting


The Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) in Painting is a four-year undergraduate programme that nurtures individual expression and technical proficiency in the fine arts. It emphasizes traditional and contemporary approaches to painting, encouraging students to explore various media, techniques, and styles. Core subjects include Drawing and Composition, Portraiture, Life Study, Still Life, and Art History.


The curriculum is designed to cultivate critical observation, aesthetic sensitivity, and conceptual depth, fostering a deep engagement with visual culture. Students are encouraged to explore interdisciplinary connections with literature, philosophy, and contemporary practices in visual and performing arts. Core subjects include Drawing and Composition, Portraiture, Life Study, Still Life, and Art History, with optional printmaking.
